Lovely little storage piece
Seemingly just about as simple as it could get, this pine cabinet, probably from Watervliet, NY, is an example of the artistry and unseen complexity of pure form which became the Shakers signature. Its fine detail is surpassed perhaps only by its execution and craftsmanship. The 1/12 scale reproduction shown here duplicates in every way the refinement of the original.
Finished, as are most of my pieces, in the warm rich aged patina of varnished pine heartwood.
