Miniature Shaker Herb Cupboard #80
circa 1825
Technically this lovely piece is a Sill Cupboard but as it was used in the infirmary for the storage of medicinal herbs, it is most often referred to by that name. This piece is unsigned and undated but is believed to have been built in the New Lebanon community during the first half of the nineteenth century. The drawers were originally partitioned and labeled on the outside as to the contents. It is currently in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. David Andrews. One in a limited edition of 150.
