This is actually a Pennsylvania German design blending the simplistic forms of primitive with the more decorative styling of American Colonial, which actually has European roots. The spoon rack on the lower shelf of the cabinet actually holds 1/12 scale spoons, if you can find them. Made in pine, this cabinet was restored from the kitchen of the Miller of Millbach in eastern Pennsylvania. It can be seen in its original home setting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. (Pewterware shown not included)
