This exact replica of an iron sided school desk is a real piece of American history. Copied after an original in the Shaker School house in Canterbury, NH but not made by Shakers, desks of this kind were in use from the mid 1800’s until recent years. Some may still be found in rural schools. The sides are hand sculpted and are cast in metal and the tops feature original carved graffiti and custom cast glass ink wells.
And some even come with a little gum under the seat. (Ask for that.)
A special seat only to end a row.
